Badger and Peacock
The image above was commissioned as a wedding present for a friend’s brother and fiancee, James and Ailsa.
Some time ago I was interested in the “animal ” side of people… and my friend suggested that I meet James and Ailsa to see if I could find out what they reminded me of.
James, being a farmer, was decidedly badger-y and elegant Ailsa was unquestionably a peacock, and a white one at that.
So that’s what they became!
Willow Pattern Hare
My friends Dave and Liz asked me to do a largish picture for their living room. It took quite a while to finish this work, which was inspired by the beautiful book “Masquerade“, by English artist and illustrator Kit Williams.
